Clearing provides career change for Keir

Clearing is not only for school leavers but can also provide a career change for those already working.

Last year, Keir Flowerdew, from Crosby, Liverpool, was working as a waiter. After speaking to a friend who was already studying at Harper Adams, he decided he wanted to study at the university too.

With grades to hand, he phoned the Clearing hotline and was offered a place on the BSc (Hons) Zoology with Entomology course.

Keir said: "I wasn't sure if I wanted to come to university but I realised that working as a waiter for the rest of my life wasn't for me.

"I spoke to a friend who was a second year student at Harper and she convinced me to apply for zoology with entomology through Clearing."

Keir's now finished his first year and says he's fully settled into university life.
